Poor posture is one of the most common causes of stunted growth. You cannot hope to increase height if you continue to slouch while walking, standing or sitting at your desk. There are many ways to increase height, like exercise, nutrition and deep sleep, but good posture is a prerequisite to any of them. You need to maintain a good posture even while sleeping to allow your body to grow taller. Perform a simple exercise to improve your standing posture. Stand with your back leaning against a wall. Press your upper back, lower back, buttocks, calves, heels and the back of your head to the wall. There will certainly be a few gaps but your job is to minimize them. This is a difficult exercise for those with poor posture, but it is also a yardstick to judge your progress in improving it and getting taller. Try to walk in the same way when you come off the wall.
