It is important to make sure that your dog kennel or dog house is big enough that your dog feels comfortable in it. Too often, dogs placed in kennels that are too small for them develop behavioral problems. If your dog is going to be spending quite a bit of time in his kennel–while you are at work, for example–then it is very important that the kennel is comfortable for him.

I’m sure you have all seen what bored dogs, or dogs that spend most of their days in a kennel, do. Bored dogs quickly cause problems. They dig. They bark a lot. They become very anxious as they feel they are being punished. And the size of the dog kennel can make a large difference in making sure that behavioral problems do not develop. Just having enough space to walk around a bit will allow your dog to burn up extra energy. Make sure your kennel and run has enough space so that your dog is happy!
